Interesingly, this coin displays a political message during the 1830s and 1840s which was in support of Daniel Webster becoming the next president. It blamed the democratic party for the poor econmic state during the time and suggested Martin Van Buren would supposedly continue to make it worse. Ultimately, Webster was not nominated as the Whig Party's canidate but rather William Henry Harrison who ended taking office. This particular coin is in rough shape with some dents and a dark color to it. Other than that, it still shows many details.
